SAMPLE NOTES: Throw size. No imperfections, just samples made for product photo shoot.

The Canal Quilt is a birds eye view of the canals of Amsterdam, lined with all the different personalities of house boats parked along the cobblestone sidewalks. The lines of quilting run horizontally and vertically, distinguishing the canals from the sidewalks and house boats. Each quilt back is one of a kind, incorporating the leftover fabric to create a completely unique, reversible quilt.

  • Throw: 60” x 60”, great for snuggling on the couch

  • Queen: 90” x 90”, fits a full or queen size bed

  • King: 100” x 100”, fits a king size bed

MATERIALS

  • Top: Black and Flax linen/cotton with Terracotta, Navy and Curry cotton

  • Binding: Terracotta cotton

  • Back: One-of-a-kind pieced remnants with unbleached cotton

  • Batting: Thick US-grown 100% cotton

PROCESS

  • Machine pieced, quilted and bound

  • Handmade in the USA by our talented quilters in their home studios

  • Each quilt is made to order just for you. Please allow 3 - 4 weeks for production.

CARE

  • Machine wash delicate in cold water with a gentle detergent. Tumble dry low or hang to dry.

  • Fabric will crinkle slightly after the first wash and will soften with use + love.

HANGING SLEEVE OPTION

  • Add a hanging sleeve to turn your quilt into a piece of wall art. The sleeve is made with the same fabric as the quilt back and lies flat when not hanging, so you can still use it as a quilt.

STORY

It’s hard not to become enamored with the house boats that line the canals of Amsterdam. Each one has its own personality, a unique floating island that someone has turned into their own version of home. As someone quite familiar with small, alternative living of a different variety, I found the idea of a floating home, a little oasis from city life, very appealing. So much so that I may have looked into what it would take to ship our Airstream over to Amsterdam and park it on a houseboat platform, turning our Land Yacht into a Canal Yacht.
