Every time I drive south into Big Bend National Park, I’m overwhelmed by the beauty of the Chisos Mountains, a cluster of dramatic peaks that rise up from the Chihuahuan Desert. Until my first visit in 2010, I never knew there were mountains in Texas, let alone some of the most stunning I’ve ever seen. During that first trip I camped in Chisos Basin, a little campground nestled in a valley high up in the mountains surrounded by the tallest peaks.
The Chisos Quilt is inspired by that cozy feeling of being encircled by the mountains and the warm, dark colors of the volcanic rock that make up the Chisos Mountains. The natural raw silk is nubby and soft, incredibly durable and thermally stable to keep you warm in the winter while still cool to the touch.
