Improv 1 is a one of a kind wall quilt made with a limited selection of fabrics and without a plan. Each piece of fabric is randomly selected, sewn together, trimmed and repeated to build and create a completely original abstract piece of art. Machine quilted around each block to accentuate the construction.
With this and the other wall quilts in this mini-collection, I wanted to explore other crafts, design fields and art for inspiration, break the rules of traditional block quilting and push the boundaries of what a quilt can be.
